SCAP (SIX Swiss Exchange Common Access Portal) | |
To access the business services of their choice, participants need to establish a connection
to the appropriate interfaces via the "SIX Swiss Exchange Common Access Portal" (SCAP).
Participants can choose from a range of connectivity options, depending on their requirements
pertaining to capacity, availability and resilience. The connectivity options are as follows:
-
Internet1 Participants connect to SCAP over the Internet, using
a secure VPN tunnel connection. There is no guaranteed bandwidth, traffic is "best effort"
-
Managed-IP-Service2 Participants connect to SCAP via a communication
line managed by an external provider with guaranteed availability and bandwidth. The bandwidth
can range from 64kbps to 2Mbps.
-
Ethernet-Service3 Participants establish a direct connection between
their Local Area Network (LAN) and the SCAP network. The bandwidth can be 4Mbps, 10Mbps or 30Mbps.
-
Optical Link4 Participants connect to SCAP via a single end-to-end
optical circuit. The bandwidth is 1Gbps Ethernet over fibre.
-
Proximity-Service5 The participant's server that runs the trading
application is housed in a data centre of a provider located near the exchange.
